MachDice Business Cards

Earlier this weekend, one of my friends suggested that I make some business cards for MachDice and pass them out at game conventions and such. I thought, “Hey, good idea … too bad, I’m not planning on going to any conventions any time soon.”

But then — one of my other friends emailed me and said she and her husband were going to be at the game convention Spiel in Essen next week. She thought it’d be a great place to market MachDice and asked if I had any business cards or anything for it.

Well, that just seemed like too good an opportunity to pass up. So I made up some business card size images. If you ever find yourself thinking, “Man, if only I had some MachDice business cards to pass out, my life would be complete,” then you have a very odd life, indeed. But you can just follow these simple steps:

  • click on the thumbnail to get the full image
  • print it out at 300 dpi
  • cut out the cards

Good business idea. I hope you get some more sales from the convention.

Letting us print out our own Mach Dice cards. That is both neat and weird all at the same time. Good work Mach.

Yeah, I can’t imagine anyone other than my friend actually printing them and passing them out. But I figured, “What the heck — if I’m going to go through the effort of making these things, I might as well make a blog post about it.” Maybe it’ll encourage other people to make little cards for their own apps.

Mach, you’re clearly a fantastic developer. But like most great programmers you’re also clearly pants at marketing. Why would you NOT register machdice.com for this? 😛

Good call Brindley. Mach, If you use Godaddy do a google search for discounts. You can normally get their .coms for 7 bucks a year. This ‘should’ be the code for this month cjcdeal102.

Heh, “pants at marketing”… I haven’t heard that one. I thought about having individual sites for each of my apps (although I just have one now) but since I’m just one guy, I like to keep things simple. I suppose I could register machdice.com and then have it automatically go to http://www.machwerx.com/apps/machdice . I’ll look into it this weekend.

Have you thought about selling this to Wizards of the coast?

I don’t have an I-phone nor want one, however I would spend about $30 -$40 on a stand alone device that only runs Mach Dice.
