iPhone OS 2.1

Hey, I noticed a little bump in traffic from the MacRumors site. (Thanks, Arn!) And welcome to those of you who are new. This is just a blog where I talk about what I’m up to, which is currently trying to figure out why my app is crashed when I toggled certain values in my settings subview.

I thought upgrading to the iPhone OS 2.1 would help but now my app just crashes as it loads. So … the update may take a bit longer than I initially thought. Sorry, everyone, but I thought I should let you know.

    What about…

3D with tilting (like that other dice app)
    pushing dice around with fingers
dice falling to the bottom if the iPhone/Touch is held upright

    Thanks. Great app!

Hey Mach – Just wanted to say thanks for all the work you’ve done on Mach Dice. I really enjoy the app at the gaming table, and think that it is head and shoulders above the other randomizer apps out there. It is a huge bargain at $0.99. Thanks.

Also, The improvements you’ve been talking about are really exciting, and it is very cool that you’re sharing the info.

So much for 2.1 I see 2.2 is now in beta. Have you gotten your hands on it yet Mach? Great app, and keep up the good work I am sure you will iron out the bugs in no time! 🙂

Hi. Also wanted to say, great app and good price. Really looking forward to all the improvements!

I’ve got a quick question for you. I have a jailbroken 2.0.2 ipod touch. I’m a security penetration tester, so having things like nmap, metaploit etc. on a mobile device can be useful for me and they’re things that Apple is never, ever, ever, going to allow on the Appstore. This puts me in an interesting position because, at the moment, I can’t update to 2.1 (at least without QuickPwn and a Mac). As you’ve updated to 2.1, I’m assuming that you’re going to make machdice work with 2.1 but will there be 2.0.2 compatibility too or will users be forced to upgrade? Currently using machdice for roleplaying and Corunea (great CCG) at the moment. It’d be a pain if I had to drop machdice just so that I could continue using my ipod for my day-job. 🙁

Anyway, great little app. I’ll be donating once the update comes out because then, personally, I feel you’ll be undercharging for the app. Really enjoying it and looking forward to seeing how this progresses in the future. Kudos…
