Hey, I’m still visiting friends in Zurich but today’s blog post is about something completely different: go out to the theaters and see Up! It’s opening this weekend. It’s a fantastic film and I’m not just saying that because I worked on it. I guarantee that you will enjoy this film (unless you have a heart of stone). It’s funny, it’s heartwarming, it’s a movie for all ages.

There is one guarantee in life Mach, Pixar films always get my money. I don’t think that company knows how to make a bad film.

Mach – what sort of stuff did you do in the film? Can you give us an example?
Heh, yeah, the reviews have been great! I usually do effects work like smoke, dust, explosions. For Up, I did shading work which is kinda like painting the textures on objects. For example, I shaded the construction vehicles at the beginning of the movie and worked on the wood that was used throughout the house on furniture, etc.
